Nina Fox

Nina Fox was tall. At PE lessons she was always put at the beginning of the line and on the group photos, she was always at the back. She was also skinny, which wasn't attributed to her diet; on the contrary, she ate everything, really everything that looked good enough to put in her mouth. Her stomach was like a grindstone. She could eat a piece of chocolate dropped in a puddle - and she would be fine. 

Nina had always attributed her slimness to her genes. 'You're just like your granddad,' her mom used to say.  And although her slim demeanour was not very popular with men, most girls were jealous.
